The summer heat is here and with it comes the sun that helps everything to grow. Unfortunately for many people direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time can leave our skin burnt or even blistering from the sun.
Clearly prevention is better than a remedy but many of us and for various reasons need to be in the sun no matter the weather. In a SHTF scenario, sunblock will simply no longer be available.
The number one home remedy for sun burn among many of us is Aloe Vera. Many of us grow it and it also grows wild rather well. Where I live it grows wild. Simply break off a stem and squeeze out the juice onto the damaged skin. There are many great uses for Aloe Vera but that is another post for another time.
Aloe Vera isn’t the only thing used to treat a sunburn naturally. If you are caught out in the sun without protection and you burn easily check out Common Sense Homesteadings post with 10 most excellent home remedies to aid you in soothing and treating your sunburn.
