Many tips for predator-proofing and protecting your chickens

I am sure it has to be a crummy feeling to wake up only to find a crime scene in your back yard. That being some wild animal has gained access to your chickens and ripped a few apart during the night for a midnight snack. It causes unwanted stress to not only your family but the other chickens which can effect their eggs as well.

Its our job to protect them and care for them as we would any other animal, even if in the end our only goal is to slaughter and eat them. =) No reason to get complacent just because your chicken wire fence has slouched for the past month with no assaults on record. No excuse. If your chicken coop needs some tender love and care to repair it or make it better, or you are for the first time ready to build that chicken coop, please check out the article below first.
