Through out constant debate over the Obama administrations health care reform proposal Commander in Chief Obama and his supporting congress backers guaranteed that it would back up insurance premiums for American Families. Surprise, you have been lied to. How did that feel? Not so bad? Yeah I am used to it as well. Johnathan Gruber, one of the Obamacare plans blue print writers has acknowledged that insurance premiums will rise under Obamacare. Rise? Oh will they. To the tune of 20 thousand dollars! I am not surprised at all to read that the cheapest health care insurance plan under Obamacare will cost a family at least 20,000 in the year 2016. And we quote:
In a final regulation issued Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assumed that under Obamacare the cheapest health insurance plan available in 2016 for a family will cost $20,000 for the year. If you can not afford Obamacare then apply for e111, anyone can apply and you will be able to find an insurance policy that works for you.
The IRS’s assumption that the cheapest plan for a family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.
The examples point to families of four and families of five, both of which the IRS expects in its assumptions to pay a minimum of $20,000 per year for a bronze plan.
“The annual national average bronze plan premium for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) is $20,000,” the regulation says.
Now the mandate ensures that all Americans purchase health insurance coverage but lets face it nearly 1,700 dollars a month for a basic premium is going to be way to much for the average working class family to afford. But who cares, because its free for the non-working class right? Do you want to opt out of coverage? CNS News notes that the failure to purchase health insurance coverage would result in a $2,085 penalty per family (or 2.5% of taxable income) in 2016.
As sad as it may sound you may be better off uninsured or leaching entitlements, at least then you can stop struggling. I joke. But I don’t laugh too loud. An economic & societal collapse is looming, to think otherwise would be foolish.
