You may be surprised to find that your State made this list. For example I had no idea we had Widows in New York. A state by state guide to venomous spiders and how to treat and spot them. Is your state on here? You probably can not identify all of the spiders in your zone or state, and that’s OK.
But you should be able to identify the dangerous ones! Please take some time to learn about the venomous spiders and another dangerous animals in your own area and also teach your family and loved ones about them as well.
Sure we all know of the Black Widow. Many know of the recluse and Hobo spider. But did you know that there are many sub-species of each spider and they are all over the United States. It wouldn’t hurt you know which ones reside in your state. Check out the list below.
- Alabama
- Brown Recluse – Loxosceles reclusa
- Brown Widow – Latrodectus geometricus
- Northern Black Widow – Latrodectus variolus
- Southern Black Widow – Latrodectus mactans
